I have all my banking, weather, navigation, photography, lights, social media, and Gadgeteer apps grouped together so that I can use them easily. Leslie HosmerĪs you can see I do utilize folders and I categorize things that I use together to make them easier to find. I know that today, the memory needed for a desktop picture is insignificant, but I can’t stop behaving according to this nostalgic requirement from my windows 3.0 days. Also, I have a black background because I hate covering up things and I have the sense that I need to keep it simple to save memory. I used to have all my health on the next page I may go back to that since a swipe is about as easy as a press to get inside a folder. I’ve just upgraded from an iPhone 6 to an 8 so I’m excited to use 3D touch to see badges in nested folders. I’ve set this up for efficiency in finding things – I have everything nested in folders so all my programs are always only two button presses away (except for gadgets and health, I have more in those folders). Besides, with free apps every once and a while, its easy to build up this lush ecology of apps without much investment. I probably only regularly use about 30%-40% of them, but with my pictures on Amazon and my music on Spotify I don’t need much phone room for other things.
